The departments of Vascular Surgery at both centres have joined forces to create the first cross-border European Vascular Centre Aachen-Maastricht. This accredited centre of excellence provides the entire spectrum of open and endovascular procedures and has specific expertise in aortic pathology. Both open and endovascular repair are performed in multidisciplinary teams, using telemedicine technology to monitor and observe surgical procedures from a distance.
